ABOUT SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
NSS
National Service Scheme (NSS) was introduced in 1969 with the primary objective of developing the personality and character of the student youth through voluntary community service. ‘Education through Service’ is the purpose of the NSS. The ideological orientation of the NSS is inspired by the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi. Very appropriately, the motto of NSS is “NOT ME, BUT YOU”. An NSS volunteer places the ‘community’ before ‘self’.
Reb Ribbon
The red ribbon is a symbol for both drug prevention and for the fight against AIDS. The Red Ribbon foundation is an organization founded in 1993 whose main purpose is the education about prevention of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus or HIV, Acquired Deficiency Syndrome Related Complex, ARC and AIDS.
The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) aims at harnessing the potential of the youth by equipping them with correct information on HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care, Support and Treatment.
Equipping youth with correct information on HIV/AIDS Prevention, Treatment, Care and Supporting. To make HIV/AIDS free INDIA by creating awareness about the spread and cause of HIV/AIDS among the student youth, non-student youth and public.
ELC
An Electoral Literacy Club is a platform to engage school students through interesting activities and hands-on experience to sensitise them on their electoral rights and familiarise them with the electoral process of registration and voting. ELCs are also present in colleges and rural communities. At ELCs, learning meets fun. Activities and Games are designed to stimulate and motivate students provoking them to think and ask questions. Through ELC, Election Commission of India, aims at strengthening the culture of electoral participation among young and future voters. There are four type of ELCs.
Voter Awareness Forum- Concept of voter awareness forum (VAF) has been developed to spread voter awareness amongst employees of Govt./Pvt. Department/Organization
School Level ELCs- School Level ELCs have been established for future Voters. Students from class 9th to 12th (14-17 Year Old) become member.
College Level ELCs- College Level ELCs have been established for New Voters who are aged between 18-21 year.
Chunav Pathshala- Chunav Pathshalas have been established at Polling Station wise and BLOs are make incharge of Chunav Pathshala to educate the non school gone people.
Eco Club
Eco club is a platform on which we got the knowledge about environment. The meaning of an eco club in a group who works to contribute to improving environmental conditions. They offer programs and activities to encourage others to reduce pollution, plant trees, and more.
Eco club or green club is a voluntary group which promotes the participation of students in learning about, and improving their environment. A green club is a means by which students and youth can organize themselves to learn more and this issue, and also take action to improve their immediate environment.
